Personal Protective Equipment Policy

The occupational health and safety (OHS) of all people employed within Superb Property Group Pty Ltd and work sites, or workers and members of the public affected by our work is considered to be of the utmost importance. Superb Property Group Pty Ltd is committed to providing a safe work environment by ensuring that all employees and contractors are equipped with and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working at work sites or where PPE is required.

Superb Property Group Pty Ltd will adhere to WH&S regulations and all other relevant legislation and standards in relation to provision of PPE to any employee who is exposed to risks to their health and safety. All PPE will be assessed for suitability and maintenance prior to purchase and at regular intervals hereafter.

It is our policy that:

  • When a need for PPE has been identified, we will seek to obtain the item on a trial basis first. This is to allow the end user to assess its suitability in the working environment.
  • Should any of our sub-contractors or employees have health problems, we will allow for this wherever possible in our selection of items. Eg. the request of latex free gloves. Wearability is a primary concern and will be considered in the purchasing decision.
  • Items such as safety gloves, goggles and face masks will be provided on a personal basis.
  • Supervisors are responsible for ensuring that each employee is aware of any PPE requirements.

Responsibility of Employees

Where a need for PPE has been identified, all employees are expected to wear it whilst working with a particular process or in a certain area. Employees are expected to use and maintain any PPE items issued to them in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. If any defects are found, they should be reported to the supervisor as soon as possible. Employees expected to promptly notify supervisor if they require replacement PPE and Employees will not take PPE home for personal use.
